I'm Going on the Fantasy Next Week!

Next Saturday, my family and I will getting on the Fantasy for a 7-night western Caribbean cruise on the Fantasy.  This cruise has a Star Wars Day at Sea, which I am very excited about.  The last time I was on the Fantasy was three years ago, before I started this blog.  That cruise also had a Star Wars Day at Sea, and it'll be interesting to see how the day and its activities have changed since then.

Also, looking back at my older photos from past cruises, I noticed that I didn't take many pictures of the ports we visited, I mainly took pictures around the ship.  This time, I'm going to take more photos of our ports of call:  Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, and Castaway Cay.
In August, when I was on the Dream, I tried to play through Midship Detective Agency.  However, this painting prevented me from finishing, which gave me an idea.  I am going to bring the badge from the unfinished Midship Detective Agency game from the Dream onto the Fantasy and attempt to complete the game.  I'm trying to find out if cross-ship-progression works.  The game data and progress might be saved to the badge, or it might be stored locally to the ship where it was registered.  I have no idea if this will work, the Fantasy might just make me register the badge again.  Hopefully the badge will work and I'll be able to finish the world's longest game of Midship Detective Agency.  After the cruise I'll share the results of this very scientific experiment.

So, in five days, I'll be on the Fantasy, probably eating an ice cream cone or forty.  After, I'll share the pictures I took and write about what I did on the trip.  This cruise is going to be fantastic!

The Unofficial Guide to Disney Cruise Line 2020 and Me

Hey look, I'm back!  It's been too long since I blogged, and in 2020 I'm going to blog much more that last year.  I promise there won't be any random four month periods of nothing this year!
In December, The Unofficial Guide to Disney Cruise Line 2020 was published.  I got the opportunity to write a small section of the book again this year, and here it is:

Page 240 is my favorite page in the book
While my section is similar to last year's, the 2020 edition features updated information about the ships, itineraries, and ports of call.  The book details the Wonder's 2019 dry dock and the minor additions to the Dream, along with up-to-date pricing and recent changes to ports.  It's a great help to people who have never been on a cruise, with detailed information about the ships, restaurants, youth clubs, staterooms, itineraries, frequently asked questions, and tips about how to save money when booking.  This book is also good for people like me, who have been on a cruise before but want something to read that reminds them of being on a cruise.  If you would like to purchase this book, it's available on Amazon.
